Base Salary
$85k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement and iteratively enhance full-stack software products, including web or mobile frontends and backend services.
- Design, architect, implement, and deliver large-scale distributed cloud applications and microservices.
- Develop and manage REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot, including documentation, versioning, discovery, testing, and management.
- Support software products in user environments and contribute to system and application design.
- Establish and maintain continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Participate in planning, standups, retrospectives, paired programming, knowledge sharing, and team decision-making.
- Apply test-driven development and write unit tests for front-to-back coverage.
Requirements
- 2 to 10 years of experience.
- Experience developing REST APIs with Java Spring Boot and related API documentation and management tools.
- Hands-on experience architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering large-scale distributed cloud systems or applications using microservices architectures.
- Experience with web and API security, including authentication, authorization, OAuth, OWASP, OpenID, and SAML.
- Experience with backend development, MongoDB, caching, and Kafka messaging.
- Knowledge of Git, artifact management, build and packaging systems such as Maven, Gradle, npm, and Artifactory, plus Jenkins or similar continuous integration tools.
- Experience in Agile or paired programming/engineering environments and with test-driven development and unit testing.
- Python experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and performance-analysis capabilities.
