Responsibilities
- Maintain, debug, enhance, and document the existing ASP.NET/C#, SQL Server, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and stored-procedure codebase.
- Design, implement, and deploy C#/.NET microservices on Azure using domain-driven design, RESTful APIs, event-driven patterns, and Azure PaaS services.
- Support interoperability, data consistency, and the transition from the legacy platform to domain-based microservices.
- Write and maintain automated unit, integration, regression, and test-automation suites using test-driven development.
- Use AI-assisted tools for code generation, test-case generation, code discovery, and documentation.
- Conduct code reviews, static analysis, refactoring, performance improvements, and secure software development activities.
- Implement authentication, authorization, API security, vulnerability remediation, and security incident response.
- Collaborate with product managers, product owners, business stakeholders, quality assurance, infrastructure, design, and operations teams.
- Own features end to end from design and implementation through deployment, maintenance, support, and delivery of customer value.
- Mentor peers on TDD, domain-driven design, microservices, and software craftsmanship.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience at a software product company.
- Strong test-driven development experience, including unit testing, integration testing, and test-automation suites.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET and database programming, including PL/SQL and stored procedures.
- Experience with microservices architecture, event-driven architectures, cloud deployment, and modern DevOps practices.
- Ability to read and understand legacy PL/SQL, C#, and stored-procedure code.
- Experience with secure application architecture, secure SDLC practices, OWASP Top 10, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SSO, RBAC, API security, and vulnerability remediation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical topics into business language.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes monolith-to-microservices migrations, domain-driven design, healthcare or payment processing, US healthcare workflows, HIPAA, Azure Service Bus, Kubernetes/AKS, and generative AI for code generation and documentation.
