Base Salary
$140k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction and establish best practices for the Generative AI team.
- Shape the AI roadmap and identify opportunities to apply generative AI across Xometry’s marketplace.
- Develop and deploy large language and generative models for multimodal document processing and structured data extraction.
- Combine text, images, and 3D data to create new AI solutions.
- Build scalable data pipelines and training workflows for massive and complex datasets.
- Train, optimize, and deploy models in AWS and other cloud platforms at production scale.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to integrate AI into products and customer workflows.
- Mentor teammates on machine learning methods, model architecture, and best practices.
- Monitor generative AI and deep learning research and bring relevant innovations into production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field is required; an M.S. or PhD is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in machine learning or data science, with expertise in generative models, LLMs, or computer vision.
- Experience with large-scale language and vision models, including Transformers, GPT, and VLMs.
- Hands-on experience working with multimodal text, image, and 3D data.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, pandas, and NumPy.
- Strong grounding in probability, statistics, and optimization for generative modeling.
- Experience deploying machine learning and AI models using cloud microservice architecture, preferably AWS.
- Strong software engineering skills, including object-oriented programming, testing, version control, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
- Ability to communicate with executives, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Manufacturing, supply chain, or related industry experience is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder for ITAR compliance.
