Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Serve as Product Owner and technical lead for a Global software development team building, integrating, and testing a large distributed Java system.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and mentorship to a cross-functional software team.
- Analyze and support the distributed system, including complex problem resolution and performance optimization.
- Gather and refine stakeholder requirements, define acceptance criteria, and prioritize and maintain the product backlog.
- Remove technical, process, and coordination blockers and support iteration and release commitments.
- Assist with software design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment, and user support.
- Coordinate with regional teams, system support groups, software leadership, government customers, subject matter experts, and system users.
- Support MDA projects and experiments, including non-standard work hours during event execution when required.
- Communicate technical approaches, trade-offs, and results while improving system efficiency, performance, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field plus 8 years of experience; or a related master’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience; or 12 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.
- Current, active, in-scope government-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application and start.
- Experience as a software leader in a role such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, or similar technical leadership position.
- Proficiency designing, developing, and testing Java applications in large-scale distributed environments.
- Experience developing in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, software development principles, and testing and debugging techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, written communication, oral communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include TDD, continuous integration, complex distributed-system architecture, SOA, code refactoring, operational or mission-critical deployment and troubleshooting, Windows, Eclipse IDE, Maven, Git, peer reviews, data analysis, messaging interfaces, and Agile planning and execution experience.
