Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and govern enterprise CMDB solutions following ServiceNow best practices.
- Develop and configure ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping for business-critical applications and infrastructure.
- Implement CSDM-aligned CMDB architecture, governance standards, IRE rules, reconciliation rules, and CMDB Health improvements.
- Configure Discovery schedules, credentials, probes, sensors, and pattern-based discovery solutions.
- Create, maintain, and optimize service maps for distributed, hybrid, and multi-tier applications.
- Troubleshoot Discovery failures, identification issues, duplicate CIs, and Service Mapping problems.
- Build and maintain CMDB integrations using REST APIs, Integration Hub, and MID Servers.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, network, security, and application teams to improve CMDB data quality.
- Lead technical discussions and design reviews, recommend scalable ITOM solutions, and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- 5.5+ years of overall IT experience.
- Strong experience with CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, CSDM, CMDB Governance, and IRE.
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise CMDB solutions.
- Experience with CMDB Health, CI relationships, data certification, duplicate CI remediation, and pattern-based Discovery.
- Strong ServiceNow development experience with JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Script Includes.
- Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Update Sets, Scoped Applications, and MID Servers.
- Experience integrating CMDB with SCCM/MECM, VMware vCenter, Azure, AWS, GCP, Active Directory/Entra ID, and monitoring tools.
- Strong experience with REST and SOAP APIs and understanding of ITOM processes, infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is mandatory; CIS Discovery and CIS Service Mapping certifications are preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
