Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and advance the company’s modern data platform.
- Develop platform products, monitoring, data checks, connectors, cost controls, testing, CI/CD, and cataloging tools for data teams.
- Maintain and optimize the company’s largest and most business-critical ELT pipelines.
- Own delivery of critical reports used by the executive board and other departmental data teams.
- Drive the migration and improve the efficiency of data teams through tailored tooling and platform capabilities.
Requirements
- Hands-on Data or Software Engineering experience with data-intensive, business-critical pipelines.
- Experience building and operating modern data platforms, particularly with Dagster, dbt, BigQuery, and AWS ECS or comparable tools.
- Strong Software Engineering foundations, including CI/CD, testing, best practices, and design patterns applied to Data Engineering.
- Expert-level SQL and Python skills.
- Infrastructure knowledge with Docker and Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Pragmatic decision-making and strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Business-fluent English proficiency.
