Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services in Kotlin and Python for user data flows.
  • Design and optimize scalable event-driven architectures and pipelines connecting internal systems with customer data platforms and downstream marketing channels.
  • Build reliable, high-performance processes for collecting, transforming, and activating user data for campaigns and analytics.
  • Drive technical design decisions, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with marketing, data, product, and platform teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and observability through monitoring, logging, testing, and proactive improvements.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Work across technologies, including frontend development and monolithic applications, as business needs require.
  • Use AI tools in day-to-day software development to improve productivity and code quality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Strong programming skills in Java/Kotlin and Python.
  • Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience designing scalable backend systems and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with messaging and streaming platforms such as Kafka.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering and business teams.
  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms and the MarTech ecosystem, such as Braze, Salesforce, Segment, or Hightouch, is a nice-to-have.
  • Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift is a nice-to-have.
  • Experience designing and building AI-powered workflows, including AI agents, LLM integrations, or developer productivity tools, is a big plus.
