Responsibilities
- Scope and lead large technical projects, translating business goals into clear technical requirements.
- Align the tech stack with Stripe’s strategic initiatives while advocating for emerging businesses.
- Collaborate with engineers to deliver reliable access to trustworthy banking data.
- Balance short-term requirements with long-term roadmaps, considering business priorities and user experience.
- Mentor and collaborate with other engineers and managers to develop future leaders.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing and engineering large-scale systems.
- Comfortable working on new products under fluid conditions.
- Proven track record of leading and shipping complex cross-team projects end-to-end.
- Measure success in terms of business impact rather than lines of code.
- Ability to thrive with autonomy and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Work well cross-functionally and earn trust from co-workers at all levels.
- Prefer simple solutions and designs over complex ones.
- Care deeply about mentorship and growing engineers.
