Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy scalable backend services for Robinhood Wallet.
- Develop product-facing features and platform enhancements meeting strict correctness and scalability standards.
- Improve system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction.
- Collaborate with client teams, product managers, designers, security professionals, and external vendors on reliable technical solutions.
- Design scalable architectures and maintain high-quality codebases for secure cryptocurrency and tokenized-stock trading systems.
- Mentor engineers and raise technical standards through design reviews, architecture discussions, and hands-on leadership.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Expertise in backend development using Go, Python, or Java and strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures.
- Strong understanding of system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to simplify complex problems, make sound tradeoffs, and align product, engineering, and design teams.
- Track record of delivering high-quality end-to-end products and raising team-wide technical standards.
- Experience with a DeFi protocol, crypto wallet company, or blockchain-related company is a bonus.
- Familiarity with EVM blockchains and smart contracts is a bonus.
