Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable billing and subscription management systems processing transactions for millions of global users.
- Architect and implement secure payment-processing flows across web applications, APIs, and database systems.
- Integrate multiple payment provider APIs and webhooks to support global payment methods.
- Troubleshoot complex billing-related customer issues requiring deep technical knowledge of the systems.
- Optimize database queries and application performance for large transaction volumes.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Rust, C#/.NET, or TypeScript, including AI-led development practices.
- Extensive experience with .NET Core and C# for backend services.
- Strong proficiency with Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS for frontend development.
- Deep understanding of relational database design, optimization, and SQL Server.
- Experience integrating Stripe, PayPal/Braintree, and BitPay and implementing their webhook handlers.
- Knowledge of security best practices for handling sensitive payment information.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement RESTful APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
- Nice-to-have experience includes Node.js, Electron, Rust, startup environments, open source, and use of Bitwarden.
