Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency Rust engine components and data-processing pipelines.
- Build concurrent and thread-safe data structures, state machines, and systems that scale across multi-core architectures without race conditions.
- Design custom thread pools, task schedulers, execution queues, priority scheduling, and resource-allocation controls.
- Implement and optimize recursive algorithms, tree and graph traversals, dynamic programming, and cache-friendly data structures.
- Use Rust ownership, lifetime annotations, custom allocators, and non-blocking I/O to minimize allocations and cache misses.
- Conduct continuous benchmarking, flame-graph analysis, memory profiling, and CPU SIMD/vectorization optimization.
- Develop core engine infrastructure with a focus on microsecond-level performance, stability, safety boundaries, testing, and benchmarking.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of production-grade Rust experience, or a strong C/C++ background transitioning into production Rust.
- Advanced knowledge of Rust internals, functional traits, closures, ownership, lifetimes, macros, unsafe Rust boundaries, and custom Drop implementations.
- Experience designing thread-safe, lock-free, or fine-grained-locked systems and concurrent data-processing pipelines.
- Understanding of memory models, cache coherence, atomic operations, memory ordering, Send/Sync traits, and synchronization primitives.
- Experience implementing or customizing task schedulers, priority-based threading, work-stealing thread pools, and priority queues.
- Experience writing data-intensive, low-latency software using cache alignment, SIMD vectorization, memory-mapped files, and lock-free or wait-free data structures.
- Proficiency with profiling, benchmarking, flame graphs, memory profiling, and debugging asynchronous execution.
- Preferred experience with custom allocators, bare-metal or no-std Rust, asynchronous runtime architectures, hardware-level optimizations, NUMA-aware architectures, and cross-language FFI.
