Responsibilities
- Develop backend software and surrounding components for current and future plant software.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, partners, process engineers, and colleagues on requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Design, implement, test, and document software while maintaining overall architectural visibility.
- Perform unit testing, simulation testing, and direct system testing to ensure quality.
- Apply relevant national and international standards and complete assigned tasks on time.
- Share knowledge within the team and contribute ideas in an agile working environment.
Requirements
- IT-related degree or completed vocational training qualification.
- At least 5–10 years of professional experience as a software engineer in complex software projects.
- Knowledge of C#, .NET 8+, object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, API design, and clean architecture.
- Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, database design, ORM usage such as Entity Framework Core, and query optimization.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, virtual machines, and containerization.
- Additional object-oriented programming, web development, and software architecture design or documentation experience is advantageous.
- Interest in AI-assisted development tooling.
- Strong English communication skills and ideally German communication skills.
- Willingness to live in or near Sofia and work with the office team 2–3 days per week.
