Responsibilities

  • Lead complex features from technical analysis and design through breakdown, estimation, implementation, validation, and release.
  • Translate evolving requirements into technical approaches, priorities, and actionable tasks.
  • Design, develop, test, review, and maintain software across embedded, platform, client-side, and API components.
  • Provide technical leadership for complex features and substantial software initiatives.
  • Support system-level architecture decisions concerning availability, latency, cost, data models, scale, and future evolution.
  • Coach and mentor engineers and influence technical decisions across teams and disciplines.

Requirements

  • Degree, equivalent qualification, or equivalent practical experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong software development expertise in C, Python, or comparable systems-level technologies, including experience working within established C and Python codebases.
  • Significant experience designing and delivering complex, multi-component software systems.
  • Experience working across multiple software components or layers, such as embedded software, device drivers, platform components, client-side tools, or APIs.
  • Experience providing technical leadership for complex features or substantial software initiatives.
  • Practical experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions across teams or disciplines.
  • Preferred experience includes regulated industries, software certification or assurance, compliance requirements, open-source licensing and supply-chain considerations, cryptographic principles, secure software development, threat modeling, and scaled product-development environments.
