Responsibilities
- Advise leadership and partner teams on business risks associated with security issues.
- Harden AWS, OCI, and GCP cloud-native environments through secure-by-default network, tooling, and process designs.
- Deploy secure architectures using infrastructure-as-code and reusable code libraries to enable secure infrastructure at scale.
- Manage IAM and RBAC for cloud infrastructure and partner with IT to streamline authentication and authorization.
- Deploy and operationalize SIEM, SOAR, domain-monitoring, endpoint, and cloud-security tools.
- Respond to security incidents and harden environments after incidents.
- Support control monitoring and remediation for compliance initiatives.
- Gather and analyze security metrics to address issues involving cross-team dependencies.
- Partner constructively with developers and other teams to build innovative security solutions.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in SecOps, DevSecOps, cloud security, threat detection and response, or security-focused software development.
- Hands-on security engineering experience with an interest in automating controls.
- Experience managing GCP, AWS, Azure, and/or OCI cloud platforms and Kubernetes environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems and SecOps workflows using Git and Terraform in cloud environments.
- Experience with infrastructure automation, network segmentation, system hardening, container and cloud security, and/or security observability.
- Experience with languages such as Golang and/or Python.
- Ability to make informed decisions amid ambiguity and limited data.
- Ability to balance build-versus-buy decisions and evaluate available tools.
- Understanding of secure engineering practices and ability to communicate solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
