Base Salary
$110k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain uptime, reliability, performance, and operational stability for production SaaS environments across AWS, colocation, and hosted infrastructure.
- Support Windows and Linux systems, virtualization platforms, storage systems, networking components, and production database infrastructure.
- Lead infrastructure modernization, operational automation, monitoring, alerting, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure lifecycle initiatives.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application connectivity, and production incidents; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with security, application, technology, and vendor teams on reliable hosting and SOX, PCI, and HIPAA compliance initiatives.
- Create technical documentation, operational procedures, infrastructure standards, and diagrams.
- Lead medium-sized infrastructure projects and participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and continuous operational improvement.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical infrastructure operations improvements.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of systems, infrastructure, or cloud engineering experience supporting production environments.
- Experience administering Windows Server and Linux systems and supporting AWS infrastructure.
- Experience with enterprise virtualization platforms, networking fundamentals, firewalls, backup and recovery, and operational resiliency.
- Experience designing or implementing infrastructure automation with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Experience leading technical investigations and root cause analysis for production issues.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring platforms and operational troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with production database infrastructure support, including backup validation, connectivity troubleshooting, and recovery operations.
- Ability to independently manage complex production infrastructure with minimal supervision, along with strong communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
- Preferred experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code; Ansible, Puppet, or Chef; PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or SOX-regulated environments; cloud migration; highly available SaaS systems; disaster recovery; and engineering standards or infrastructure diagrams.
