Base Salary
$75k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and run large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant cloud services and systems.
- Design, develop, architect, and deploy secure, scalable cloud-native applications.
- Monitor capacity, performance, availability, and overall environment health, and improve reliability through automation.
- Test, integrate, establish, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services.
- Identify and resolve issues during application deployment and document installation, operation, deployment, and maintenance procedures.
- Analyze processes and improve operational efficiency through workflows, standards, and automation.
- Collaborate with development teams and technical experts to deliver enterprise solutions aligned with technical and commercial requirements.
- Consult development teams and improve organizational cloud knowledge and expertise.
- Apply cloud architecture, engineering, security, governance, and development best practices.
- Make risk-informed decisions in accordance with BMO’s Risk Management Framework, policies, laws, and regulations.
Requirements
- Typically 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced proficiency in cloud computing, cloud networking, programming, scripting languages, industry and enterprise cloud strategy, enterprise cloud governance, cloud measured services, cloud attribution, and basic cloud concepts.
- Intermediate proficiency in cloud security, DevOps, cloud sizing, cloud levers, cloud-first practices, technical documentation, communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills, and data-driven decision-making.
- Foundational proficiency in Cloudability, cloud financial reporting, cloud economics frameworks, learning agility, and relationship management.
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
