Responsibilities
- Own technical authority, architecture, and engineering delivery for the Catalog & Portal software engineering pod.
- Architect ServiceNow Service Portal, Employee Center Pro, Next Experience, and UI Builder frontend solutions and design systems.
- Develop enterprise Service Catalogs, Order Guides, taxonomy models, catalog routing engines, and configurable workspace interfaces.
- Build AI Search, Genius Results, Virtual Agent, NLU, Now Mobile, and Microsoft Teams integrations for unified portal workflows.
- Establish coding standards, conduct architecture and UX/UI code reviews, optimize performance, and maintain accessibility and localization support.
- Partner with product owners, enterprise architects, UX/UI designers, and business stakeholders on roadmaps, backlogs, and deliverables.
- Implement ServiceNow Automated Test Framework coverage, release planning, update set deployments, and post-upgrade validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, HCI, Information Systems, or equivalent; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 6 years of software engineering and ServiceNow development experience, including leading enterprise Service Portal and Employee Center implementations.
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, AngularJS, modern web APIs, ServiceNow Service Portal, Employee Center Pro, widgets, $sp APIs, and UI Builder.
- Experience with Service Catalog architecture, Flow Designer, Process Automation Designer, and AI Search.
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, and secure token authentication.
- Ability to lead technical teams and deliver enterprise UX frameworks and high-traffic applications.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1, web performance optimization, and ITIL v4.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certifications are required.
- ServiceNow Service Portal/Employee Center micro-certification, ServiceNow CTA or CMA certification, and ITIL certification are preferred.
