Responsibilities
- Test and validate hardware diagnostic modules for servers and infrastructure components deployed in Microsoft Cloud Data Centers.
- Develop software and test automation scripts using C, C++, C#, PowerShell, Python, Perl, and Bash.
- Collaborate with Microsoft product groups, server ODMs, OEMs, and component vendors to test and validate diagnostic tools and workflows.
- Support detection, mitigation, and correction of hardware faults in cloud infrastructure.
- Document technical results and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on coding and scripting experience with C, C++, or C# in Windows Server or Linux environments.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience solving hardware and software problems in PC, enterprise server, or cloud server environments.
- Strong understanding of CPUs, motherboards, BIOS, BMC, memory, PCIe, storage, and networking.
- Experience developing test automation and working in a laboratory environment is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes diagnostic code development, cloud-scale architecture and infrastructure, and working with silicon vendors and ODMs.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
