Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the complete enterprise certificate lifecycle, including issuance, renewal, replacement, revocation, discovery, deployment, and retirement.
  • Administer, configure, maintain, and improve the Venafi Certificate Management Platform, PKI services, and related integrations.
  • Design and implement automation using PowerShell, Python, APIs, and workflow automation tools.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Security, Cloud, Application, and DevOps teams to deliver secure and compliant certificate services.
  • Support the full service lifecycle from requirements gathering and design through implementation, testing, deployment, operational support, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop technical standards, operating procedures, governance controls, and knowledge documentation.
  • Support certificate management solutions across Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, and modern application environments.
  • Monitor certificate health, availability, compliance, and service performance, and mitigate operational risks.
  • Lead troubleshooting, certificate-related incident resolution, major incident activities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, security assessments, audit evidence, and compliance reporting.
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, service metrics, and executive reporting.
  • Participate in Change, Problem, Incident, and Service Request Management processes aligned with ITIL practices.
  • Evaluate technologies and platform capabilities, and drive self-service, integrations, automation, and modernization initiatives.
  • Maintain production and non-production environments for stability, security, and compliance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
  • Use AI in project delivery to improve productivity, automate routine work, and support data-informed decisions with human judgment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise certificate management platforms, PKI services, or cybersecurity infrastructure platforms.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience administering and supporting the Venafi Certificate Management Platform or similar enterprise certificate management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of SSL/TLS certificates, Public Key Infrastructure, cryptography fundamentals, and certificate governance.
  • Experience supporting business-critical enterprise applications in large-scale global environments.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent experience in service operations, incident, change, problem, and release management.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, governance, compliance, and risk-awareness skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments and maintain a customer-focused approach to operational excellence.
