Responsibilities
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions using computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles.
- Develop and improve front-end and back-end web applications to meet emerging business needs.
- Plan and implement automated and continuous software deployments.
- Mature and streamline DevOps pipelines, policies, and processes.
- Apply object-oriented development principles and web-based development patterns such as MVC.
- Conduct methodical code assessments to identify bugs and ensure code quality.
- Balance quality, scope, schedule, customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and at least 7 years of directly related experience, or 13 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience with object-oriented languages such as PHP, C#, C++, and Java.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Extensive front-end and back-end web application development experience.
- Experience with Git branching and merging, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, CSS preprocessors such as Sass or Less, and web-based patterns such as MVC.
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with databases such as SQL, MySQL, and Oracle.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Bash, and Python.
- Understanding of software testing procedures and ability to work collaboratively and independently on technical projects.
- Preferred experience includes WordPress or Drupal, WordPress themes and plugins, and WordPress Gutenberg front-end components.
