Base Salary
$193k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate transactional, scalable, high-throughput, fault-tolerant, and highly available distributed services.
- Process item and catalog information from millions of merchants and enterprise customers.
- Translate ambiguous business goals into software platforms that support multiple businesses.
- Lead the design and architecture of new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling decisions.
- Mentor engineers and contribute as a technical lead or engineering team leader.
- Participate in coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations across the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
