Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in or lead design reviews and select among available technologies with peers and stakeholders.
- Review code and provide feedback on style, accuracy, testability, efficiency, and best practices.
- Contribute to and update documentation or educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware, networks, services, and quality.
- Plan the deployment and optimal configuration of machine and network racks across Google data centers.
- Develop AI-driven automation for data center rack placement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, or working with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: experience with Unix/Linux environments, distributed systems, machine learning, information retrieval, TCP/IP, and accessible technologies.
