Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and improve reliable, scalable, performant, and secure production platforms and services.
- Build and maintain resilient infrastructure and deployment patterns with cross-functional teams.
- Support and guide engineers while promoting engineering standards and operational best practices.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical services and platform availability.
- Drive standardization, automation, and documentation to improve consistency and reduce operational overhead.
- Contribute across the full platform and service delivery lifecycle, from design and build through operation and optimization.
- Mentor other engineers and help advance best practices in cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and site reliability engineering.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or software engineering roles.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, containers, and container orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Programming experience in at least one object-oriented language, plus scripting and automation capability.
- Experience with security principles and best practices for infrastructure, platforms, and services.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or OCI.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and distributed systems.
- Strong Linux and/or Windows systems administration experience.
- Experience with software delivery automation, CI/CD pipelines, secure SDLC practices, and static and dynamic security testing.
- Understanding of SRE concepts including SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, toil reduction, availability, and observability.
- Experience managing and supporting Elasticsearch in production is beneficial.
- Preferred experience includes Kafka, MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, Redis, and networking.
