Responsibilities
- Lead software architecture activities and serve as the technical contact for programs and customers.
- Design, develop, and integrate program-specific software functions within the Astrobus NEO infrastructure.
- Produce software technical and management documentation with full requirements traceability.
- Execute the end-to-end software engineering cycle, including specifications, detailed design, coding, interface definition, and unit and integration testing.
- Write test plans, perform validation against specifications, and deliver software modules for final system integration.
- Provide specialized software support for Failure Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) across developed units.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of experience as a software engineer in the space domain.
- Deep knowledge of software ECSS standards, requirements management, spacecraft unit behavior, and space data-management interfaces, ideally RangeDB.
- Programming experience with C plus Java, Python, or TypeScript/Node.js.
- Proficiency with DOORS, Eclipse, and Jenkins.
- Advanced English proficiency at minimum B2/C1 level and Spanish proficiency at C2/native level, written and spoken.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, adaptability, and continuous-learning skills.
- Experience with European Space Agency projects and a master’s or Ph.D. in Software Architecture, Distributed Systems, or AI are valued.
