Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features for the Marketplace platform.
- Maintain and optimize APIs.
- Build and maintain tooling for OS image creation and system packaging.
- Create and manage packaged application artifacts within images.
- Automate the manufacturing process for OS images and containers.
- Support and guide external publishers in creating their own artifacts.
- Ensure the security and integrity of Marketplace artifacts through CI/CD and scanning.
- Contribute to architectural structuring for new technical subjects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering work with product goals.
- Take ownership of uncharted technical areas and drive innovation.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in software engineering or system administration.
- Strong proficiency in Go or Python for API development.
- Hands-on experience with Packer and OS image maintenance.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.
- Mastery of CI/CD pipelines and artifact security.
- Familiarity with Protobuf and microservices architecture.
- Versatility across systems, development, and automation tasks, with autonomy and strong collaboration skills.
