Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based enterprise applications using Spring Boot.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and high-level designs.
- Develop integrations with databases, messaging platforms, and third-party systems.
- Design database schemas, write optimized SQL queries, and improve application performance.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and API security standards.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and development best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment automation and environment management.
- Work with business analysts, QA teams, product owners, and architects to deliver solutions.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Contribute to scalability, reliability, observability, and maintainability initiatives.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and release planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
- Strong expertise in Java and extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Experience with containerized application development and deployment.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, database design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Experience working with GitHub and branching strategies.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks such as JUnit.
- Knowledge of API documentation standards such as Swagger.
- Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Experience consuming and integrating external APIs and services.
- Experience reviewing code and guiding junior developers.
- Preferred: experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or other messaging platforms; Graylog; event-driven architectures; and JasperReports.
