Base Salary
$89k - $148k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and code scalable, robust, and high-performance solutions across systems and services.
- Serve as a key technical contributor on critical property and casualty insurance claim initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and share deep technical knowledge without formal people-management responsibilities.
- Evaluate and advocate for improvements to system architecture, technical standards, and development processes.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to align technical implementations with business needs.
- Create proof of concepts to demonstrate capabilities.
- Apply coding and security best practices.
- Develop and support Guidewire ClaimCenter and Guidewire InsuranceSuite integrations, business rules, assignment rules, batches, messaging, and REST APIs.
- Troubleshoot InsuranceSuite issues and use Guidewire Profiler to analyze performance problems.
- Work within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of developer experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Guidewire ClaimCenter experience is required.
- Expert-level understanding of the full software development lifecycle and software design patterns.
- Ability to identify software development lifecycle bottlenecks and propose improvements.
- Deep familiarity with architectural principles and scalable, maintainable system design.
- Knowledge of auto insurance, with commercial and personal auto lines experience as a bonus.
- Expertise with relevant design, testing, version control, API, cloud, database, integration, monitoring, frontend, and Guidewire technologies.
- Guidewire Cloud InsuranceSuite Professional Developer certification is preferred but not required.
