Base Salary
$165k - $231k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and update hardware integration test code for test hardware.
- Build software libraries, optimize test code, and extend the team’s common software architecture.
- Develop Python and LabVIEW demonstrations, framework additions, and user interfaces.
- Drive and oversee test-system use at external test facilities.
- Collaborate with analysis and test engineers to remove development barriers, accelerate development cycles, and maintain software quality.
- Develop tools and maintain software development infrastructure using best practices.
- Own continued development of proprietary Model-Based Systems Engineering software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, another engineering or science field, or qualifying work history demonstrating the required experience.
- At least 3 years of software development experience, ideally for test systems, including object-oriented design, test automation, and software component development.
- Experience designing custom hardware drivers for electronic test hardware such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
- Experience with build, test, and deployment automation.
- Preferred: 5+ years of real-time systems and software development experience with LinuxRT and Phar-Lap.
- Preferred proficiency with Python, C/C++, GitLab, SQL, I2C, SPI, and VHDL or Verilog.
- Preferred experience with AI frameworks and tools, generative AI data analysis, National Instruments hardware, TestStand, LabVIEW APIs, Actor Framework, unit testing, validation, abstraction layers, LabVIEW Real-Time, FPGA, and application deployment.
- Preferred experience with electrical control systems, industrial sensors and actuators, and test environments.
- Preferred National Instruments LabVIEW certification such as CLD, CLA, CLED, or Professional Instructor.
- Preferred project management experience delivering results on time and on budget.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
