Responsibilities
- Design and develop cross-functional, multi-platform, fault-tolerant application systems throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Build both user-facing front-end and server-side back-end capabilities for the travel portal.
- Own architecture, contribute to high-level design, and establish technical standards and engineering best practices.
- Improve developer experience by identifying gaps in internal frameworks and tools and contributing to solutions.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior and intermediate associates and guidance to technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on development experience using two or more of JavaScript, React, Angular/TypeScript, Python, Node.js, Java, or Go.
- At least 6 years of experience with application and/or data design, architecture, and development.
- Proficiency building both front-end and back-end applications in a full-stack role.
- Experience mentoring junior or intermediate associates and guiding technical and business stakeholders.
- Preferred: 8+ years leading the full software development lifecycle.
- Preferred: Bachelor's, Master's, or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with AWS or other cloud products such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
- Preferred: experience in an agile environment and familiarity with agile development methodologies.
