Responsibilities
- Maintain system architecture documentation and understand integration patterns and technology dependencies.
- Design and implement monitoring frameworks, alerting systems, observability capabilities, SLOs, and SLIs.
- Configure and integrate applications with middleware components according to architecture documentation.
- Implement security hardening, application security testing, vulnerability assessments, security reviews, threat analysis, and penetration-testing initiatives.
- Build system resilience through chaos engineering, disaster recovery planning, and performance optimization.
- Monitor production system health, conduct operational health assessments, participate in on-call rotations, and resolve incidents.
- Design and evaluate application architectures, hardware and software solutions, integrations, job scheduling, and resilient interfaces.
- Support payments, securities settlement, transactional, and enterprise application systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in payments and securities settlement systems, application support and operations, application security, site reliability engineering, or solution architecture.
- Strong knowledge of software security principles, security frameworks, vulnerability assessment tools, and penetration-testing methodologies.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns, integration technologies, service design, ICT governance, and government-agency standards.
- Experience analyzing application test results and recommending improvements.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Experience designing and implementing Java applications, SQL, shell scripts, server-side applications, microservices, web services, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with RHEL, JBoss EAP, OpenShift, OpenStack, Watermelon, Maven, Oracle Database, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Experience with file-transfer interfaces, resilient interfaces, connectivity protocols such as REST, SFTP, and MQ.
- Experience integrating Autosys, job scheduling, CI/CD, data warehouses, and document management systems.
- Experience with the S.W.I.F.T. messaging platform, government digital projects, banking and finance, or transactional systems is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications, including Java, AWS Solutions Architect, or Kubernetes certifications, are advantageous.
