Responsibilities
- Build and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable AWS-based infrastructure.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code, automation, and self-service tooling to improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and DevOps teams on cloud and infrastructure best practices.
- Contribute to observability, monitoring, incident response, and platform reliability practices.
- Apply security best practices to infrastructure and operational processes.
- Participate in peer code reviews, share knowledge, and follow software engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Around 4+ years of experience working with cloud infrastructure and production services, ideally with hands-on AWS experience.
- Hands-on experience operating production workloads in AWS and supporting distributed, highly available applications or services.
- Strong Python scripting and automation skills; experience with PowerShell or Bash is also relevant.
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows environments, including solid Linux administration skills and working knowledge of Windows systems.
- Experience with at least one configuration management tool, such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Some experience with .NET, Ruby, Java, or PowerShell in addition to Python.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts, tools, and pipeline design.
- Experience in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
- Experience with or understanding of serverless architectures such as AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
