Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Review code from other developers and provide feedback on style, correctness, testability, and efficiency.
- Create solutions to ambiguous problems and own technical and non-technical scope.
- Drive the technical direction of large projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Write highly scalable, performant, and reliable C++ code in a Google-scale distributed-systems environment.
- Investigate production software issues and collaborate with the Site Reliability Engineer team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience programming in C++ or C.
- At least 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or working with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 2 years of cloud networking experience and 1 year in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: experience with Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, networking, large software systems, or security software development.
- Prior DNS software development experience is preferred but not required.
Benefits
- US base salary of $174000-$252000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
