Base Salary
$140k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and support Java microservices and libraries integrating with Jira, Jira Service Management, Slack, Microsoft Teams, SaaS providers, and AI solutions.
- Design, build, unit test, and deploy applications on Microsoft Azure using Core Java, REST, and the Spring ecosystem.
- Create reusable integration patterns covering API contracts, authentication, error handling, data translation, webhooks, retries, idempotency, and schema versioning.
- Evolve the AI Governance registry and integration capabilities, including entity resolution, workflow integrations, evidence generation, and administrator-facing AI experiences.
- Design and operate distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, event-driven services, and data-ingestion pipelines.
- Collaborate with UX, product, platform, security, legal, customer-facing, and engineering teams on planning, architecture, delivery, and operational reliability.
- Conduct peer code reviews, improve code quality and coverage, reduce defects, and support critical issue delivery within SLA.
- Mentor junior developers and help the team adopt technical skills, development testing, exploratory testing, AI testing, and test automation.
- Own multi-quarter technical roadmaps and make build-versus-reuse decisions for shared integration infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical or business field.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering and software development experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with object-oriented design, Java, design patterns, Spring, SQL, web services, and REST APIs.
- Strong experience building and operating integrations with external platforms, SaaS applications, workflow systems, and AI solutions.
- Experience integrating AI tooling and agent platforms such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or MCP-based systems, or comparable evolving third-party APIs.
- Hands-on identity and access management experience covering SSO, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, service accounts, API keys, token scopes, roles and claims, role-based access control, and secure credential management.
- Experience with webhooks, pagination, rate limiting, retries, idempotency, schema versioning, authentication expiration, external API changes, and customer-specific configuration.
- Experience with distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, event-driven services, data-ingestion pipelines, SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and data quality.
- Experience with automated testing, production monitoring, incident response, CI/CD, Agile development practices, and Python scripting.
- Ability to learn open-source technologies and enterprise SaaS platforms and to conduct discovery, customer conversations, research, and feasibility spikes.
- Experience owning multi-quarter technical roadmaps across teams and making build-versus-reuse decisions.
- Preferred experience includes connector frameworks, integration-platform-as-a-service products, workflow engines, developer platforms, entity resolution, matching, deduplication, identity graphs, MCP servers, AI assistants, AI observability, OpenTelemetry, LangSmith, model gateways, privacy, security, GRC, audit, risk, regulatory data, immutable evidence, versioned artifacts, and strong audit trails.
