Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and test or perform QA on software applications or operating systems.
- Apply software architecture knowledge to develop, debug, and design software according to specifications.
- Build enhancements within existing software architectures and suggest architectural improvements.
- Implement neural-network learning algorithms, experiment with learning parameters and network architectures, and work with e-puck robots.
- Develop web-based applications, including a Petri Net editor with a customized user interface and logic-checking functionality.
- Develop and deploy a MEAN-stack URL shortener using caching, reverse proxy, load balancing, containerization, and data persistence technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field followed by five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the offered role or a related software developer occupation.
- Experience with Java, Scheme, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
- Experience with neural-network algorithms and e-puck robots.
- Experience developing web applications, Petri Net editors, customized user interfaces, and logic-checking algorithms.
- Experience with MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, Node.js, Redis, Nginx, Docker, Cassandra, Hibernate ORM, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Apache Maven, Tomcat, Mockito, JUnit, and Spring.
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area, with four years of software engineering or related experience.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and potentially lead projects or supervise lower-level personnel.
