Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Improve cloud networking, security, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and platform reliability capabilities.
- Develop and maintain reusable Terraform and Terragrunt modules for multi-environment deployments.
- Administer and automate Linux-based environments, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Operate monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions and create actionable dashboards.
- Support incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Operate and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support automated infrastructure and application deployments.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and collaborate with engineering, architecture, and technology teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior DevOps, Platform Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar role supporting large-scale or business-critical systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2, VPCs, subnets, route tables, gateways, security groups, network ACLs, IAM, load balancing, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and secure connectivity.
- Practical experience with Terraform and Terragrunt, including reusable modules, environment composition, dependency management, and multi-environment deployments.
- Experience with configuration management solutions; Chef is preferred, with Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack also considered valuable.
- Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration, automation, and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience operating CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure and application deployments.
- Hands-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar monitoring and observability technologies.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing and operating highly available, resilient, and disaster-recovery-ready services.
- Proficiency in Python, Ruby, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and operational tooling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and fluent spoken and written English.
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation.
- Advantageous experience includes Chef automation, Ruby, Oracle databases, Oracle FLEXCUBE, AWS hybrid connectivity, Oracle backup and recovery, regulated industries, and service or incident management practices.
