Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
  • Manage and improve cloud networking, security, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and secure connectivity capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain reusable Terraform and Terragrunt modules for consistent multi-environment deployments.
  • Administer and optimize Linux environments, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux, while improving automation and operational efficiency.
  • Operate and enhance monitoring, observability, alerting, dashboards, and proactive issue-detection capabilities.
  • Support incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and service continuity improvements.
  • Operate and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure and application deployments.
  • Support containerization and orchestration platforms and participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and technical and non-technical stakeholders across Pan-Baltic teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior DevOps, Platform Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar role supporting large-scale or business-critical systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2, VPCs, subnets, route tables, gateways, security groups, network ACLs, IAM, load balancing, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and secure connectivity.
  • Strong practical experience with Terraform and Terragrunt, including reusable modules, environment composition, dependency management, and multi-environment deployments.
  • Experience with configuration management solutions; Chef is preferred, while Ansible, Puppet, and SaltStack are also valuable.
  • Strong experience administering Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux, with advanced automation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.
  • Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in Python, Ruby, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and operational tooling.
  • Experience designing and operating highly available, resilient, and disaster-recovery-ready services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is required.
  • Experience with Chef automation, Ruby, Oracle databases, Oracle FLEXCUBE, AWS hybrid connectivity, Oracle database backup and recovery, regulated industries, and service or incident management is advantageous.
