Base Salary

$85k - $118k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Java or Python microservices using cloud-native principles.
  • Build RESTful APIs and gRPC services with authentication, authorization, rate limiting, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
  • Participate in microservice decomposition, API design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams on CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and improve service availability, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Mentor junior developers and improve code quality, testing, build processing, and development processes.
  • Support application analysis, programming, implementation, systems testing, risk technology, middleware, mainframe and non-mainframe applications, analytics model development, and application support.
  • Build integrated project development schedules, manage dependencies and contingencies, negotiate feature priorities, and communicate implementation timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, security standards, data governance requirements, and company policies.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in an application development role with microservices expertise using Java or Python.
  • Strong proficiency in Java with Spring Boot or Python, with backend development experience.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design, message queues such as Kafka and RabbitMQ, and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD tools and Git-based version control.
  • Experience operating high-traffic, distributed, cloud-based services.
  • Experience leading infrastructure programs, affecting large-scale culture change, and working with third-party service providers.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, written, oral communication, collaboration, and execution skills.
  • Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.

  • Annual base salary of $84,580.00-$118,020.00.
