Base Salary
$157k - $299k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define AI/ML architecture aligned with business goals and digital strategy.
- Establish reference architectures, design patterns, standards, and roadmaps for AI/ML solutions.
- Lead adoption of Generative AI, deep learning, NLP, and RAG capabilities.
- Architect end-to-end AI/ML solutions covering data ingestion, feature engineering, model development, deployment, and monitoring.
- Partner with AI teams, data scientists, and engineers to operationalize models and ensure production scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Define data pipeline and feature store architectures and integrate them with enterprise data ecosystems and APIs.
- Establish AI governance frameworks covering model validation, explainability, bias detection, security, privacy, regulatory compliance, and responsible AI.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while communicating architecture decisions to executive and technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify AI opportunities and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- University degree and typically 12 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree; the posting also requires 8+ years of broad-based experience in data and AI/ML architecture, deployments, integration, or consulting.
- U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program or contract.
- Extensive experience implementing AI/ML solutions for large, complex organizations.
- In-depth knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and expertise in data architecture, distributed systems, and APIs.
- Experience with CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, versioning, and MLOps.
- Proven experience as a solution architect or technical lead crafting solutions and delivering business outcomes.
- Preferred experience with Generative AI and large language models, vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
- Preferred understanding of AI ethics, governance, regulatory frameworks, and aerospace, defense, manufacturing, compliance, quality management, and traceability needs.
- Preferred experience with TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF, SparxEA, Cameo, and LeanIX, including relevant framework certification.
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework and Jira, plus strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder leadership, and cross-functional team guidance skills.
