Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy large-scale ML systems for ad ranking and optimization.
- Develop production pipelines that handle millions of ad requests daily.
- Collaborate with customers in Mandarin to understand their business goals.
- Apply systematic approaches to model training and continuous improvement.
- Partner with infrastructure and data teams to enhance tooling and efficiency.
- Lead design and code reviews to standardize ML practices.
- Diagnose model performance and execute optimization experiments.
- Mentor engineers on ML best practices.
- Work cross-functionally with product and business teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in building and deploying ML systems at scale.
- Proven track record of shipping models that improve key business metrics.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese for technical collaboration.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Python.
- Experience with modern ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Familiarity with distributed data and compute systems.
- Understanding of robust ML pipeline construction.
- Experience optimizing inference performance on hardware accelerators.
- Ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
