Responsibilities
- Translate client business needs into feasible end-to-end AI solutions.
- Act as a client point of contact from project scoping through delivery.
- Run discovery sessions and technical workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
- Design and build production-grade AI solutions using LLMs, vector databases, APIs, orchestration layers, and user interfaces.
- Develop agents and RAG pipelines connecting client data to LLMs.
- Perform prompt and context engineering to improve output quality and reduce hallucinations.
- Build, train, and evaluate classification, regression, forecasting, and clustering models.
- Gather, clean, validate, and engineer data features.
- Evaluate solutions using machine learning metrics, generative AI metrics, and production monitoring for quality, drift, and cost.
- Deploy solutions to the cloud with attention to security, reliability, cost efficiency, versioning, and reproducibility.
- Present AI concepts, trade-offs, and results to non-technical audiences.
- Support sales qualification, effort estimation, proposal writing, demos, proofs of concept, and internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering or related fields.
- Proficiency in Python and software development best practices.
- Strong foundations in supervised and unsupervised learning, feature engineering, model validation, and statistics.
- Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Understanding of LLM fundamentals, including Transformers, generation parameters, RAG, and fine-tuning approaches.
- Hands-on experience with the OpenAI API, Hugging Face, LangChain or LangGraph, FastAPI, and Docker.
- Comfort working with data in SQL databases.
- Strong consulting, client presentation, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, autonomy, curiosity, and learning skills.
- Fluent English and French or Dutch.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD, model and data versioning, MLflow, DVC, monitoring, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience in NLP, Computer Vision, time series, gradient boosting with XGBoost or LightGBM, client-facing work, proposals, pre-sales, workshops, or AI-assisted development tools.
