Lead Software Engineer - Java Full Stack
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Build and enhance scalable Java full-stack and microservices-based applications across backend, frontend, cloud, distributed systems, and web technologies.
- Lead adoption and validation standards for authorized AI-assisted engineering practices, including coding, code review, testing, refactoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve application and system stability.
- Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams concerning architectural designs, technical capabilities, and integration suitability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Proficiency with backend technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js, plus frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React for full-stack work.
- Ability to independently solve design and functionality challenges with minimal supervision.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; distributed systems; RESTful APIs; web services; WebSockets; JSON; and scalable SQL and NoSQL database applications.
- Experience with agile development, software development life cycle practices, automation, continuous delivery, and application resiliency.
- Demonstrated ability to lead approved AI-assisted software development practices and validate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, security, and coaching engineers on compliant adoption.
- Advanced understanding of application resiliency, security, and continuous delivery practices.
