Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the cloud platform for integration runtimes, including durable execution, sandboxed isolation, and self-healing systems.
  • Build and operate infrastructure for coding agents that write, test, and deploy integration code at production scale.
  • Design and maintain observability across logs, metrics, and tracing for integrations and agent runs.
  • Ship self-hostable, single-tenant platform deployments as a first-class product.
  • Establish engineering patterns and standards for future infrastructure hires.
  • Help hire and grow into leading the infrastructure team within roughly a year.

Requirements

  • 3 to 9 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a fast-moving, high-growth startup environment.
  • Production experience operating, scaling, and debugging Kubernetes.
  • End-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure or a platform, with practical cloud infrastructure experience rather than primarily data infrastructure experience.
  • Strong production observability design skills across logs, metrics, and tracing.
  • Experience using AI coding agents while maintaining rigorous production engineering judgment.
  • Experience with self-hostable, single-tenant deployments is preferred.
  • Prior venture-backed startup or founder experience; careers spent only at large enterprises do not fit the role.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals from a rigorous technical degree program.
  • Fluency in TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Docker.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $175,000 to $300,000 USD annually.
  • Visa sponsorship is available where an O-1 visa is a realistic path.
  • On-site five days a week in San Francisco, California.
  • US candidates elsewhere may relocate with a concrete, dated relocation plan to San Francisco.
  • Clear path to leading the infrastructure team as it grows.
