Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Java and Spring Boot web application backends.
- Automate and document deployment processes for containerized applications running on AWS ECS.
- Integrate applications with external authentication providers using SAML and/or OAuth.
- Implement AWS data workflows using containerized Java processors, Lambda, S3, SQS, and other AWS services.
- Ingest, normalize, log, and republish data from other agencies.
- Implement fine-grained access controls in user interfaces and APIs for classified and personally identifiable information.
- Maintain JSON schema specifications and update schema content based on documentation changes.
- Prepare technical documentation and briefing materials for program reviews and presentations.
- Participate in system integration and user acceptance testing, and write unit and integration tests.
- Monitor production applications and participate in code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, information technology, cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Proficiency with Java, including Spring Boot, and AWS services including S3, Lambda, Secrets Manager, Elastic Container Registry, and CloudFormation.
- Experience with JSON and/or XML schema validation, containers, SQL, and Linux CLI.
- Experience securely configuring and deploying internet-facing systems in the AWS cloud.
- Experience using AWS CloudFormation to define system configuration as code.
- Experience automating system builds and startup with Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, or similar CI tools.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and U.S. citizenship.
- Preferred experience with AWS ECS, SAML, Golang, PostgreSQL, TLS certificates, Bash or Python scripting, and Apache web servers.
