Responsibilities
- Estimate, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Android applications for clients.
- Write clean, maintainable, secure, and efficient Kotlin code.
- Use Android Studio for debugging, profiling, and application performance optimization.
- Write unit and UI tests, troubleshoot bugs, and resolve performance issues.
- Implement accessible features meeting WCAG guidelines.
- Understand and support CI/CD pipelines for Android build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement interfaces using the Android View system and Jetpack Compose.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to internal documentation, patterns, templates, and libraries.
- Participate in team and community events and occasionally contribute through writing, public speaking, or open source.
Requirements
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in consulting or an in-house cross-functional product team.
- Experience building consumer-facing native Android applications with Kotlin, the Android SDK, Jetpack, and related tools.
- Work samples demonstrating performant, organized code and well-implemented user interfaces.
- Mastery of modern software development practices, tools, and workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and defend technical and architectural decisions.
- Strong discipline, personal organization, comfort with critique and peer review, and demonstrated commitment to professional growth.
