Base Salary
$139k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android application code for roadmap projects.
- Align closely with product managers and designers to move projects forward.
- Collaborate with backend, firmware, data science, research, science, and QA teams to deliver complex mobile features.
- Work with Android engineers across the US and EU to improve the Android codebase.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and platform-level improvements.
- Take ownership of technical solutions, drive implementation, and deliver projects with limited guidance.
- Mentor other engineers and improve developer productivity across teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience shipping Android applications.
- Proficiency in Kotlin, modern Android architectures such as MVVM and MVI, RxJava and/or Coroutines/Flow, Jetpack Compose, and common third-party libraries.
- Experience collaborating on complex shared codebases using Git, branching, and standard code review workflows.
- Experience with unit tests and manual testing.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and design patterns.
- Experience taking ownership of projects and delivering results with limited guidance.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum processes.
- Preferred qualifications include 7+ years of Android development, consumer or enterprise apps and SDKs, technical or team leadership, Dagger, Realm, SQLite, JNI, PyTorch, TypeScript, Kotlin Multiplatform, BLE, SDK development, functional programming, systems architecture, performance optimization, asynchronous international collaboration, firmware and hardware projects, app release management, CI/CD, health or wearable products, ML algorithms, encryption, data privacy, and C++.
