Base Salary
$185k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop workflows for generating, configuring, and managing diverse simulation scenes, assets, and scenarios.
- Extend simulation to support robot capabilities and interactions among robots, people, and dynamic environments.
- Build reproducible simulation experiments with automated evaluation, debugging, and regression-testing tools.
- Build pipelines for generating, processing, and managing simulation data.
- Scale simulation through automation, workload orchestration, and remote hosting for batch and interactive workloads.
- Partner with scientists, robotics engineers, and technical artists to improve simulation performance, usability, and fidelity to real robot behavior.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience developing robotics software, simulation systems, real-time applications, or scalable data pipelines.
- Preferred: 5+ years across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: experience with robotics simulation frameworks or real-time 3D engines such as Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, MuJoCo, Unreal Engine, or Unity.
- Preferred: experience with procedural scene generation, asset management, sensor simulation, rendering, distributed systems, cloud-hosted simulation, evaluation frameworks, sim2real transfer, or domain randomization.
- Preferred: working knowledge of 3D math, including coordinate transforms, quaternions, and camera models.
