Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and scaling of an enterprise self-service CI/CD platform and cloud-native application runtimes.
- Build and manage highly available, multi-region AWS EKS clusters and optimize compute scheduling and autoscaling with Karpenter.
- Deploy and configure Istio Service Mesh for traffic management, mutual TLS, and secure ingress and egress gateways.
- Standardize CircleCI workflows and maintain multi-cluster ArgoCD GitOps pipelines with reusable templates.
- Implement zero-trust cluster security controls, including IRSA, Kubernetes Network Policies, and OPA/Kyverno policy-as-code validation.
- Mentor Level 2 and Level 3 DevOps engineers and lead code and architectural reviews.
- Write infrastructure as code with Terraform and automate platform systems.
- Build federated monitoring and distributed tracing pipelines with Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk to improve resilience and reduce MTTR.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, SRE, or DevOps platform roles.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience designing, provisioning, and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure at scale.
- At least 3 years of production experience administering Amazon EKS and multi-cluster containerized environments.
- At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience deploying and operating Istio Service Mesh or a similar container-mesh solution.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity or cross-cloud migration experience involving Google Cloud Platform and GKE is a bonus.
- Experience with automated platform pipeline security scanning tools such as SonarQube or Checkmarx is a bonus.
- Certifications such as CKA, CKS, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional are a bonus.
