Base Salary
$85k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deploy onsite for multi-week engagements to install and configure BRINC drones and software.
- Support live operational flights with testing and debriefing.
- Triage and debug technical issues in the field under time pressure.
- Implement and validate fixes on-site, including writing and deploying code.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and engineering.
- Maintain deep technical expertise in BRINC products and software.
- Build trust-based relationships with customers and public safety agencies.
- Document issues and contribute to training materials.
- Participate in after-hours support rotation for continuous service.
- Manage assigned BRINC equipment responsibly.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, field engineering, or technical support.
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex technical systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Part 107 license.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to remain calm in mission-critical situations.
- Willingness to participate in rotating after-hours on-call support.
- Ability to travel upwards of 90%, including multi-week deployments.
- Proficiency in Python and ability to debug C/C++.
- Working knowledge of Linux environments and basic networking.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems and robotics.
