Responsibilities
- Define enterprise data platform architecture, roadmaps, standards, patterns, and governance frameworks.
- Design scalable lakehouse, data mesh, multi-cloud, and hybrid-cloud data ecosystems.
- Architect solutions using Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Iceberg, and cloud services.
- Lead modernization, migration, data sharing, interoperability, and enterprise data strategy initiatives.
- Develop metadata, catalog, lineage, security, compliance, observability, and FinOps solutions.
- Conduct architecture reviews and technical assessments and define reusable reference architectures and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with business, product, security, and engineering leaders and present recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Lead multiple delivery teams and mentor architects, technical leads, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- B.Tech, M.Tech, or MCA in computer science, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of total experience and at least three years of relevant Databricks experience.
- Experience architecting enterprise-scale data lakehouse and data platform solutions with Databricks and Snowflake.
- Deep AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud architecture experience covering security, governance, scalability, and resiliency.
- Expertise in Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, metadata management, data mesh, data governance, and data quality.
- Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, SQL, data modeling, and distributed data processing.
- Experience designing large-scale data engineering and ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time processing with Kafka, Event Hubs, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub.
- Experience with Snowflake capabilities including Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Data Sharing, and query optimization.
- Experience influencing executive stakeholders, leading architecture reviews, defining standards, and implementing cloud FinOps and performance optimization.
- Preferred experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, MLOps, GenAI integration, Data Fabric, and modern enterprise architectures.
- Excellent communication, presentation, strategic decision-making, and mentoring skills.
