Base Salary
$236k - $277k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop control-plane services that orchestrate Flink job submission, scaling, and recovery.
- Build Kubernetes operators and orchestrators for serverless resource management.
- Design APIs for job management, multi-tenancy, and isolation.
- Own code quality, test coverage, documentation, and maintainability for team components.
- Draft, discuss, and facilitate technical design decisions with stakeholders.
- Participate in team processes, lead meetings, take initiatives, and join on-call rotations.
- Mentor less-experienced engineers in control-plane architecture and junior developers working with serverless Apache Flink.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant software development experience.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems orchestration, including Kubernetes and control loops.
- Experience building high-scale control planes, API servers, or cloud-native infrastructure.
- Knowledge of containerization, networking, and resource isolation.
- Strong problem-solving skills for translating complex requirements into effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
