Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, program, debug, test, and modify software enhancements and new product functionality.
- Develop and support the PHASE3 securities-processing product using HP Tandem COBOL and basic SQL.
- Work with product managers and users to define requirements and necessary system modifications.
- Write technical specifications, documentation, and installation and maintenance procedures.
- Recreate, document, and troubleshoot client issues to support product quality and client needs.
- Participate in software design meetings and enhancement and support projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent education, training, or work experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience programming in HP Tandem COBOL and knowledge of basic SQL queries.
- Fluent English and strong communication skills for discussing technical and commercial solutions with internal and external parties.
- Strong attention to detail, high-quality documentation skills, organization, adaptability, autonomy, and teamwork.
- Knowledge of HP Tandem utilities, FUP, TACL, Pathway, and Batchcom is advantageous.
- C++ knowledge is an additional advantage.
